Galerie G in Neuenheim presents mixed media works and watercolours by the throughout Europe well-known painter Bernhard Vogel who is especially admired for his watercolour-skills.

Main focus of this year exhibition is the city of New York. Bernhard Vogel, who masterly recites the impressions of the cities he visits, started a new technique in the beginning of the 90s: the technique of mixed media.

Since then oil- and acrylic-colours as well as the technique of the collage, very different materials, e.g. American newspaper-fragments, rusty nails and nets are elements of a creative process, which is continuing until today. As a result we can experience New York in his paintings as a pulsating city, a centre of energy, which shows poverty and wealth, a city of contrasts, which fascinates and inspires, which unites light and shadow. In the technique of mixed media Bernhard Vogel has found a special form of expression for the exceptional city of New York.

But for sure his masterly painted watercolours, a lot more city-motives and flower still-lifes can be seen in the exhibition too. So everybody will find a matching artwork of his or her taste.
