Deiker, Carl Friedrich

Animal and hunt painter, born 3.4.1836 in Wetzlar, died 19.3.1892 in Düsseldorf

Deiker comes from a renowned artists’ family. His paintings of hunt and animal porteyals are characterised by strong movements, often translated into fighting game. Deiker workes as illustrator of several magazines. Around 1870 he very successfully presented his works at international academic art exhibitions in the cities of Munich, Düsseldorf and Hannover.
