Buddenberg, Wilhelm

Painter, born 16.7.1890 in Trier, died 2.2.1967 in Neuss

Born as the son of a textile merchant in Trier. First exhibitions in his own highschool. Studies architecture only for a short while, than becomes a student of Kallmorgen and Vorgang at the Berlin Academy of Art. Numerous travels to Switzerland, Norway and in many eastern European countries. Favourite themes: red deer, roes and swines. Buddenberg illustrates hunting books like „Das Rotwild“ and „Das deutsche Waidwerk“. His paintings can be found in German and European museums (Enschede, Jagdmuseum München, Weinmuseum Trier).
